The Sometimes Hard-Realities of Home Sales

The internet is full of beautifully staged homes, perfectly designed, surely the home of happy fulfilled families living their best lives. With over two decades of walking along side client’s real estate journeys, I’m here to share that the beautifully presented property you see may be on the market due to very difficult circumstances. Divorce, financial hardship, addiction, mental health concerns, job loss, poor physical health and sometimes death, can be the precipitator of a home being listed for sale. Much like Facebook is often a highlight real, so too is the stage for a home sale. With that, a Sellers motivation for selling is always held in the absolute strictest of confidence and in sharing this, I want to unveil the realities that people may be struggling with, especially this time of year. These life events not only have profound emotional implications but can also reverberate through various aspects of one's life, including the realm of real estate. Navigating these challenges requires a thoughtful and strategic approach, considering both the emotional and financial implications. If you or someone you know is amid a similar scenario, please reach out to me for an always confidential conversation. There is no place like home until that home no longer suits you.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
